Dutch Naked Women
While we may find the sight of naked bodies in public uncomfortable, for the Netherlands it’s just part of life. Perhaps this stems from early openness to sex education or perhaps it comes from their country’s reputation of directness; public saunas across the Netherlands regularly witness men and women sharing baths together, or stripping naked at times!
Camping with nudists (or nudistencamping), also known as nudist camping, is becoming more and more popular. There are several well-known campsites like Flevo-Natuur in Zeewolde or De Groote Keijns in Schagerbrug that provide nudist camping experiences; alternatively you may take a swim in one of many lakes where naked swimming is legally acceptable as long as it doesn’t interfere with children’s swim areas or disturb other swimmers.
Dutch movie stars, like Carice van Houten, don’t shy away from flaunting themselves on screen. Her latest flick – Black Book, directed by master of leering eroticism Paul Verhoeven and set during World War II in the Netherlands – depicts her as an unsparing Jewish resistance fighter enduring an extensive series of tests that leave nothing out.
