Lol Cam Nude is an unsettling tale about a cam girl trying to increase her popularity on the website she broadcasts her tits on. She resorts to every means necessary, even fake suicide, until she realises an exact copy of herself has hijacked her account and posted videos online in her name. Although this film could have taken an altogether darker direction with mental breakdown or split personalities emerging, instead it serves merely as cheap titillation.
This movie contains some incredibly provocative sexual scenes, with Lola riding a mechanical vibrator machine at one point and riding another later. There’s nudity, sexual toys being waved around and Lola masturbating throughout. Unfortunately it was given only 15 certification, since its content should have warranted 18.
Miley Cyrus as Lola fails to shake the overacting she learned on Disney Channel and does not prove convincing in her role of an arrogant teenager. Fisher Stevens as her sexual coworker and Gina Gershon as one of her married best friends are well cast, providing some relief from this overly dramatic soap opera.
