Choosing the Right Name For Your Child

Gabrielle

Selecting an ideal name for your child requires more than simply finding something that sounds pleasant; each name you select carries with it an array of spiritual meaning and symbolism that speaks volumes about who they are as individuals, your beliefs and values and any potential goals or future aspirations they might have. Gabrielle comes from archangel Gabriel who appears in Christian and Jewish tradition as messenger of God and is associated with divine strength and protection, along with numerological symbolism like intuition, introspection and inner wisdom.

Gabrielle has been bestowed upon many notable people throughout history, from natural philosopher and mathematician Gabrielle du Chatelet to fashion designer Coco Chanel (originally Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel) and American politician and gun control advocate Gabrielle Giffords. Gabrielle is also a popular choice among mothers because of its connection with Mary and the biblical account of Annunciation.

Gabrielle brings years of leadership experience from within the nonprofit sector to her role as President of BGCGW, leading one of Washington DC and Mid-Atlantic’s largest non-profits. Prior to BGCGW she served as Vice President at Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where she managed a $36 Million budget across nine states.

She hails from New Jersey and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville before enrolling at Belmont University College of Law in Nashville where she served as Student Ambassador responsible for recruitment of new students. Furthermore, she is active within her local community serving as past Board Chair for Greater Washington Chapter of Women’s Leadership Initiative.
