Sofia Alejandre Andres was born in Cebu City to Eric and Monette Alejandre Andres and her siblings Ian, Lara, and Bryan. She became a contract star under Star Magic – ABS-CBN Corporation’s talent management arm – with over 8.3 million Instagram followers and 1.8 million Twitter followers; as well as being the face of beauty product line she released with Daniel Miranda in 2020 as her YouTube partner.
She began acting professionally in 2012 with an appearance on Kathryn Bernardo and Enrique Gil’s television drama Princess and I. Later that same year, she made her first movie debut alongside Liza Soberano and Dingdong Dantes in Mae Cruz Alviar’s She’s The One.
In 2021, she made her acting debut in Relaks: It’s Just Pag-Ibig with Cathy Garcia-Molina as protagonist Cathy Garcia-Molina; this performance won her New Movie Actress of the Year at the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Movies. Since then, she has taken various roles within Kapamilya drama anthologies until landing the lead role on Pusong Ligaw with Diego Loyzaga before co-headlining Connie Macatuno’s Mama’s Girl alongside fantasy series Bagani with Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil where Liza Soberano played Mayari who became warrior warrior to defend loved ones, ruler and race from threats.
