Melissa_Blare has been charged with several sexual crimes including statutory rape, human trafficking by patronizing prostitution and solicitation of minors. According to police reports, Melissa targeted nine students from McMinn Central High School in Englewood Tennessee via social media conversations where she offered them vape pens in exchange for sexual favors.
Police believe she contacted seven juvenile victims between spring 2020 and late 2021; two have since turned 18. Police fear there may be more victims as this 38-year-old mother of three was not employed by the school but was involved with running its booster club.
“It’s just so sad that somebody could do this to our kids,” one local woman tells WTVC, while another resident states she wasn’t surprised to learn about this case: “There are a lot of sick people out there.”
